I've been doing this for way too long. And by "doing this" I mean, trying to be an actor. When I first started out over 10 years ago (when I was 13... :) ) I was trying to be an actor. Hey, I never went to film school or acting class (okay, I went to two acting classes, but they don't count), so I needed to be educated somehow. That somehow for me has been my involvement in the movie business on and off screen. I've worked as a casting director, production assistant, assistant director, producer, stunt double, body double, stand in, extra and in those coveted moments... an actor. It hasn't always been graceful, it hasn't always been good, but after 10+ years, and after this years line up of back-to-back feature films, I can proudly and confidently say: I am an actor.
People on set are always asking me, "what have you been in?" and "what can I see of you?" I do mostly indie features... and they usually take a long time to come out... so there are A LOT more to come that are fighting their way thru post-production. I've also had a lot of 'bit' parts, ie., wrestling in salsa in a bikini (Spring Breakdown), saying a few lines (United States of Tara, Him and Us), or doing crazy stunt or body work for some other chick (Repo, Adjustment Bureau, Fracture).
There are a lot more to come that I am so proud of, and several coming out within the next few weeks/few months, but here are FOUR you might see a bit more of me in, and that you can enjoy, NOW. :)
A Lure (My first feature that I wrote, produced and acted in. I'm proud of my twisted little thriller! It's my first baby, not perfect, not without its mistakes... but I'm still proud to call it my first feature)
AVAILABLE on NETFLIX (instant only)
DVD on AMAZON
ps. our distributor changed the title from Lure to A Lure: Blah Blah Blah. not to be mentioned. :)
The Witches of Oz, 2 part Mini Series.
I play a supporting role, Ev Locast.
DVD available on Amazon
THERE is a feature film version of this, Dorothy and the Witches of Oz, which had a theatrical release and will be on DVD soon. It is shorter, tighter and with better special effects... but this one is pretty kick ass, too.
Bloody Bloody Bible Camp.
I play a lead role in this crazy comedy/horror. We all had SO much fun making this twisted little blood and laugh fest.
Also available in I Tunes
and on VOD
Okay... as I've stated before, if the title offends... don't go any farther. This is campy, over-the-top, makes fun of everyone and everything in good fun. We are all playing caricatures... come on, did you really think I was a teenage virgin bible camper? :)
I play a lead, as Samantha... a hippie-chick who is an aspiring singer. I have a substance problem and I kiss all the boys. Dramatic, gorgeous series:
All 10 Episodes are available to watch HERE
That is all for now my friends. I should be letting you know where to see Money Shot (formerly Agua Caliente) in the next week or two... and then there are many more cooking away in post production hell. :)
How many wonderful things can I say about The Witches of Oz? :) It was so much fun to be involved in this project and I can't wait to share the theatrical movie!!! And, didn't these people read my post about filming in Dec-March!!!? It was freaking freezing shooting in F'ing Connecticut in December, January and even April, for re-shoots. But, so much fun, even though I was wearing eight layers of stockings. My legs are NOT THAT FAT, people.
In this Leigh Scott/Eliza Swenson movie, I played a super fun BAD witch. I was dressed and made up in 1930's style, and my scenes are with some fantastic actors including: Billy Boyd, Mia Sara, Eliza Swenson, Barry Ratcliffe and Elizabeth Masucci. When we shot, I had shorter brown hair... which, now that I am blonde again I must say... blonde's don't always have more fun. It's all about your attitude and how much you've had to drink.
I also met some great actors on this project, aside from those who I worked in scenes with... Noel Thurman, Al Snow, Montie Domingue, Ari Zagarus, Chanel Ryan, who I don't have scenes with, are FANTASTIC. I also got to see the beautiful and ever talented Paulie Rojas (who plays Dorothy), who was in Lure with me.
This project is so amazing, and considering the people at Imaginarium are doing everything themselves... yeah, they are that good, I wish I could do all that shit...I just hire people (or beg them). Here are some links for you:
